As a Multi-Physics Simulation Engineer at Meta, you will take a critical role in developing next generation AR/VR Systems. You will become part of a team exploring new concepts through mechanical design, optical modeling and fast iterative prototyping. A wide range of approaches will be explored combining electrical, mechanical, optical, firmware, and software techniques. We want people who work well in teams, can brainstorm big ideas, work in new technology areas, are Demonstrated experience to drive a concept into a prototype and then mature the design to a high-volume consumer product solution. We are looking for someone with a productive mindset who can apply their engineering expertise to solve problems in creative, insightful ways. Our ideal candidate has a broad fundamental engineering background, and experience designing and manufacturing consumer technology products.
Multi-Physics Simulation Engineer Responsibilities
  • Perform Multi-physical Finite Element Analysis of complex electro-mechanical sub-systems
  • Model, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems
  • Work across the full product development cycle, from concept inception to shipping product
  • Work with vendors worldwide
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience with multi-physical finite element analysis
  • 3+ years of experience in opto-mechanical tolerance analysis on camera imaging systems
  • 3+ years of experience in interfacing with mechanical CAD models
  • Industrial level of working knowledge in material properties, such as plastics, metal, adhesive, glass, PCBA, flex circuit, magnets, etc.
  • Experience with 3D design modeling using NX, SolidWorks or Creo
  • Experience with ANSYS Finite Element Analysis or equivalent
  • Testing and analysis experience using MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW or equivalent, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in consumer electronics product development and/or manufacturing
  • Experience with VCM and SMA technologies

$139.000/year to $200.000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
